When in doubt, add more

These are the words of my favorite teacher at University. I studied Textile Technology and Design at Faculty of Textile Technology, University of Zagreb. She thought the Design of the textile in the way to let as do anything in any medium as long as it would exist long enough for her to see that. We could put living insects on a piece of colored paper, but had to keep them there so she could see that. I don't remember anybody doing that, but several art work went bad (rotten) before evaluation at the end of the semester.
Good think about fiber-rective dye is that the molecules of the dye bond chemically to the molecule of the silk fiber and after steam setting aren't physically present on the surface of the silk. That means they don't change the way silk shines, drapes or feels against the skin. Thanks to that characteristic I can paint a layer over the layer on the silk.

How to wear a silk scarf

Thank you, my dear followers for your nice comments. I'ts nice to know that somebody is reading what I write :)
Now, what I wanted to share with you is some nice ways to wear a silk scarf. I'm a silkpinter and have been making silk scarves for years. I often hear women say:  "This scarf gorgeous but I don't know how to wear it!" So, I've decided to help all of you who are not sure what to do with that gorgeous scarftht's been hidden for months(years) in your closet. Here are some photos of several styles how to wrap and wear a 90cmx90cm / 35"x35" silk scarf:

I know many of you think there is nothing new about these styles but it's good to see them once in a while just for some inspiration and ideas how to add some flair to your everyday clothing.

Summer memories - sea and salt

For my fist post on this blog I want to share with you some beautiful summer memeories. I spent the last three weeks of my vacations on a small Adriatic island, the island of Iž. It is a place where people live the way their grandparens did, grow olives, (make olive oil - the liquid gold) and fish. Here are some photos of this paradise on erth:
